Self-Inflicted carries three main anchors, each of a different design, each with a rode of a different design, to provide maximum flexibility and resilience when at anchor. The twin, independent, windlasses provide redundancy both dropping and retrieving the hook.

Anchor pulpit

The anchor pulpit is welded into place and forms the leading edge of the foredeck.

Ground Tackle

The boat comes with three anchors. In the bow the primary anchor is a Rocna 33 with 300ft. of 3/8" HT; the secondary a 20kg Delta with 50ft. of 3/8" HT and 200ft. of nylon: Both with anchor swivels.

The stern anchor will be a Fortress when she's purchased to provide a full complement of different designs for different conditions.

Twin Windlasses with independent controls

Both Windlasses are Lofrans Progress II with 3/8" HT Gypsies. Forward of the windlasses are two independent stainless steel chain stops.

Another view of the twin independent windlasses. The tracks forward of the windlasses make it possible to redirect anchor retrieval in the event of a windlass failure.

Windlass Cover

I finally got tired of the windlasses being a source of moisture below ... problem solved.

The cover is held on by two bolts and easily locked into place or removed with a winch handle. What little water can get inside ... quickly drains through holes on the trailing edge.

Docking Lines with Snubbers

All docking lines are 5/8" with snubbers ... two forward, two springs, and one aft.
