Itinerary

Engine tests went well so today I'm heading up to the Americas Cup races then under the gate, west until I can't see land, and south as far as I want.

Heading north up the penninsula toward the slot ... then a hard left turn to the gate.

Unlike last week during the trial run the sky is blue and no fog in sight. That's the good news ... the bad is that there isn't any wind.

An Americas Cup support boat

Larry's Sled

Sled New Zealand

Classic attracted to the Americas Cup

One of the New Zealand chase boats with the Golden Gate bridge in the background.

Dennis on the watch

Seal rocks

Seal rocks a little close before we turned further west for deeper water

San Pedro rock off Pacifica. Starting to get a little wind and while it is not visible we are running in 6 to 8 ft. swells.

California coast with the south side of the Tom Lantos tunnel visible.

California coast off Pacifica looking south.

Pillar Point ... today's destination. This is the point hosting the Pillar Point Air Force station and its massive radar dome.

My slip for the night? Just to the left of the sign with my name on it. Awfully nice of these people to do that for a transient.
